History Story of the Bur Oak Tree News Articles

The D.C. Cook Communications building, at 850 N. Grove, has been a part of the City of Elgin and the Northeast neighborhood since 1901. This beautiful historic building is facing possible demolition and a total redevelopment to be replaced with NEW DEVELOPMENT if citizens of Elgin do not respond.

Help us communicate to City officials that the building is a part of what makes the City of Elgin and our neighborhood special. How do you think the Cook building could be adaptively reused for the entire community to enjoy? Send us your ideas and feel free to communicate them to City officials as well. (see list below)

If you would like to attend an upcoming Cook Task Force Meeting or would like to know how you can help, contact us.
